Been a while since there has been a match report for 3rds...seems we have a policy of only logging them when we win and its been a while since we have posted one.

Against Wanderers at TCB on Sunday we won the toss and batted. Joiner (34) and Forday opened and put on a solid start of 60 before Forday was out for 21 following his 58 in his last knock for the 3's. By drinks at over 17 we were 1/84 and in a solid position to post a good score. Harmeet batting at 3 posted a solid 26 but it was then Jonno Seifman who made a brilliant 47 combining well with Will Enos (19) to get the score to 191 by innings close.

Mike Gal and Andrew Spain opened the bowling, the former fresh off an overnighter on the plane. Tight spells from each saw us through to drinks at 17 overs with Wanderers at 4/75. Gal (3/39) first wicket was a brilliant leg side stumping by Koushik (Mike maintains it was due to the prodigious swing as opposed to a wide). Spanky went wicket less but his tight 7 overs for 30 runs set the scene. The indomitable Seifman wrapped up the tail with 3/16 off 5 overs to have Wanderers all out for 140 in the 32nd over. Only 8 wides for the innings was a key factor. A win by 41 runs and a great all round team effort with contributions from everyone.
